What is sustainable?
First, in the case of events, sustainable means holding events in a sustainable manner which in all aspects avoids depletion of natural resources.

Sustainable Cooking involves using foods which conserve an ecological balance by avoiding depletion of natural resources. That means food that’s grown without pesticides or chemicals using renewable methods, treated humanely, sold locally and eaten with an appreciation of where and how it went from field to plate.

One year later as my original tour plans evolve, life and the world have changed dramatically. The great news is more and more folks are getting involved AND getting on the bus to adapt this principle of “Know The Source of Your Food” and make sure it’s sustainable. That translates to huge support of our local high quality farmers markets, more concern for knowing where your food is grown, increased interest in cooking that fresh local food at home and a renewed sense of community . Families, schools, social groups, faith-based organizations and businesses can share this old world revival. ...You know the real world of our grandparents’.
